As “the first guest at the party,” design professionals are tasked with the art of matchmaking among architects, builders, designers, landscape architects, vendors and clients, ensuring personalities and visions align. In this panel, we’ll delve into managing expectations and the essentials of creating a “T PARTY” based on Teamwork, Trust, Transparency, and Treating everyone with respect. Join us to learn more about expanding a project team to create the most successful (and enjoyable) outcome.

Pitching your work – Best practices!
Join Nancy Berry, editor of Northshore Home, Northshore Magazine, and Ocean Home. She will provide guidance for how to pitch interior design and architecture projects to the media. Nancy is president of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art – New England Chapter and is a champion of both tasteful modern and classical design.

Marni Elyse Katz, a freelance design journalist and consultant. She is contributing editor at Boston Globe Magazine and writes regularly for numerous titles including Northshore Home, Boston Home, and Dwell. She also works with design professionals on portfolio reviews, press strategy, and visual storytelling on social media. Cocktail Reception and Exhibition
Hacin invites you to their expanded studio for a cocktail reception to welcome O&G Studio to the SoWa Art + Design District. The evening will celebrate New England craftsmanship and creativity through a conversation and exhibition with O&G Studio CEO and Creative Director Jonathan Glatt and Hacin President and Creative Director David Hacin.
O&G Studio, an award-winning furniture, lighting, and hardware design studio based in Warren, RI, designs and manufactures furniture that is equal parts memory and invention. The Pop-up will be open through October 3rd for the design community to browse their work and meet with their team. The gallery will feature an exhibition of their modern Windsor chairs, featured in the recent book “Anthology: The O&G Collection of Modern Windsor Chairs,” which represents the largest collection of handmade, originally designed Windsor chairs in production today, as well as additional pieces from the company’s current collection.
